The twelve piece watercolor pen brush set by Buyartosh is a very nice set. There are twelve distinct colors in this set, but some are repeats of the same color family. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised that each of the blues are distinct and necessary, each of the greens are the same way, etc. I do think that the purple and the pink colors could be much more distinct, but they are a bit distinguishable. These pens would be great for both kids or adults who love to color. I was hoping to use these a little more for writing, but I did find that the tips of some of the brushes did tend to fray. This is my biggest complaint about the set, and the reason it did not receive five stars. So far I have been able to gently press the brush tip back together, but I don't know how long that will last for. The tips of the pens are nice and long, so it's easy to use both the side or the very top of the brush. One great thing about these pens is that they dry very quickly. Sometimes when drawing I find that pens will smudge. However, this set does not have this problem. I also like the nice container that these pens come in as it's perfect to keep them together without being bulky. My biggest concern with the set, as stated, is the fraying of them. However, I will happily use these with all ages and love the vibrant colors while they last!
