The Chichic 6 Cavity DIY Rectangle Soap mold is a silicone mold set that is available for $6.99 for a single mold or $9.99 for a set of two.  It comes in a pink silicone that is dishwasher safe.  Each rectangle mold measures 3.1" x 2.2" x 1".  The silicone is food safe, meaning that this product is fantastic not only for soaps and things of that nature, but also for many baking, freezing, and food crafting items!  I got the set of two, which for the price is a great deal!  I'm looking forward to testing all of these ways of using these molds, but my main purpose of purchasing these was for ice molds.  I love having larger ice pieces for the purpose of coolers as well as icing my wrist. (I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). The larger pieces take longer to melt, so it helps keep drinks cold!

While I tested these as ice molds, there are so many uses that these are really a fantastic addition to any kitchen. That being said, on to the ice testing!

I love that this item is silicone as it lends itself to so many different functions and also makes it easy to clean.  However, the lack of a solid base makes this a little difficult to use for ice. I had a hard time filling it and keeping it steady as I placed it in my freezer.  Let's just say I had to do some mopping up!  I can definitely foresee this as being an issue if you're moving anything you made until the item sets.  To alleviate this, I would place this item in the spot it will be staying in.  Alternatively, you can place it on a pan or some flat surface.  The unsteady bottom of it also made my ice have a pretty big slant to it, but again, the plate will cure that.  The bottom of the ice also had some bulges in it, which, again, would most likely be cured by the flat surface to transport it with.

Once I placed the ice in the freezer, it did take several hours to freeze, but being thicker, this is obviously to be expected.

Once I took it out of the freezer though, that's the part that showed what a great product this is!  The non-stick surface was fantastic to take the cubes out of! I did have to bend the silicone a bit, but it was very easy! Another plus is that the corners are very sharp, which would make very nice soap bars!

All of the ice cubes came out very nice, and the set of two will really help when I have large parties!  I'm also pretty excited come holiday time when these will make excellent homemade chocolate bars!  (Watch for an update in a couple of months! Bakers will also appreciate the size as a nice brownie, muffin, or mini loaf!

Overall, if you have any need for a tray like this, I would highly recommend this version! (I mean, its also pink so bonus!) You get two lovely molds with nice corners that are very non stick and easy to clean.  This is a great choice!
