The D-shedz professional deshedding tool and grooming brush is great! While its' claim that it is the best professional brush might be a little over reaching, I found it to be an extremely effective brush on my hairy, super shedding dog. My dog sheds like crazy, and use of this seems to have helped to reduce that. The tool itself came in two pieces but was extremely easy to snap together. I was a little skeptical when I first opened it as the piece to snap together looked to be cheaply made. However, I was totally wrong. The brush feels heavy in your hand and the weight of it definitely helps in the brushing and deshedding process. It is better than any brush I have used save for the furminator. That being said, it's a much better value than the former. My dog sheds like crazy and I often have to brush and brush him for a long time. The depth and sharpness of this brush helped to get rid of his loose hairs so much faster than usual. I will say I'm a little wary of how sharp the teeth on this tool are, so I will be alternating use of this and other brushes in the future so as not to irritate his skin too much. Other than that though, this is a really really great tool! My dog also seemed to like the feel of it as he sat much stiller than usual, which is an unexpected bonus. It also comes with a nice piece to help protect the teeth during storage. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a cost effective alternative to other deshedding brushes!
